Q & A

Q: How do you start your day?

A: The beginning of the day is music, and the end is also music; this is the way most musicians are. During the intermission, just have a cup of coffee and relax a bit.

Q: Where do you usually hang out the most?

A: Studio, and every corner of Taiwan, don't be too surprised if you see me on the road.

It's hard to see Teacher Zheyi.

A: No way, as long as you get up there.YouTubeJust search and you will see me, haha (laughing out loud)

Q: What is your entertainment after work?

A: Of course, it's playing with my daughter and spending time with her. I try to accompany her as much as I can in between work, and that's my greatest entertainment (satisfaction).

What is your most frequently visited restaurant?

A: I like to try new things, so I don't go to the same restaurant repeatedly. So if you have good recommendations, please tell me!! Don't keep them to yourself~~~~

Q: What would you recommend foreign travelers to eat or where to go when they visit Taiwan?

A: Ningxia Night Market Every time I visit Ningxia Night Market, I have a fixed foodie itinerary. Appetizer: Egg yolk taro cake; Main course: Red meat curry rice paired with egg-wrapped pork soup; Dessert: Xiangji mochi ice, and then a cup of "freshly squeezed juice" is perfect!

Visiting the night market is very convenient; staple foods, desserts, and drinks are all taken care of, and you can also experience Taiwanese street food.

Q: What do you think is the most interesting place in Taiwan or what attracts you the most?

A: What attracts me the most is the temple culture. Taiwanese people have a very lovely personality and dedication towards their beliefs. I recommend everyone to visit the temples, especially since there are many temples of all sizes in Taiwan, each with its own unique characteristics. The temples in each area can express the spirit of local culture.

Q: What are your recent thoughts on arrangement?

A: Let me briefly explain that arrangement and composition are quite different, although many people often get confused. Arrangement: it is taking someone else's material and incorporating your own ideas to create the music you want; Composition: the material is entirely your own from scratch. These two are technically and professionally quite similar. The Bay Sound Orchestra mostly focuses on arrangement because we are always trying to find out what the memory of these kinds of music is for Taiwan. If Bay Sound plays new music that people are not familiar with, it won't create a connection or impression of Taiwan. Therefore, Bay Sound hopes to find more music that everyone can relate to in arrangements, producing different styles to appeal to a broader age range. We first need to make everyone like it before it can continue to be passed down.

Q: Is there a sentence that has impacted you the most?

A: Teacher Li Guoxiu said: "A person is successful as long as they do one thing well in their lifetime." I am someone who enjoys doing all kinds of different things. Over the past few decades, I have found that my physical strength seems to not be as vigorous as when I was young, and I also don't have much time. Therefore, I gradually streamlined my work scope to focus on doing one thing well. This statement has indeed changed me a lot.

Q: What do you look forward to the most when staying at a hotel?

A: It's about the planning and design of the space. In fact, whether it's for work or leisure, I think the sense of novelty is very important when leaving one's own home. Besides hoping to broaden my horizons, some hotels are even better because they allow you to see a different world, including the reception by the staff or the overall atmosphere created, which allows me to gain some inspiration for creation during work or leisure. I think this is also very important.

Q: What is your impression of the hotels under the Taipei Hotel Group?

A: Discover that each place has its own unique characteristics, creativity is visible at any time, in every floor, every room, and every corner. You will find that the management of this hotel is very thoughtful, very innovative, and these ideas are not outdated. It is always looking for the latest and most unique ways to present to you, and coming to this place will provide a very different experience.
