Currently a news anchor at Huashi, started playing in a band since high school, served as the lead singer of "Slimo" in college, performed on the Spring Scream stage for three consecutive years, and released an EP.
Later joined the independent band "The Tic Tac" that focuses on folk rock style, serving as the drummer. During performances, she stands and plays the drums with the bass drum set upright at the front, which has become her personal signature.

Q & A

Q: How do you start your day?

A: Starting from staying in bed, after the alarm rings, I basically try to sleep as much as I can, and I will time my departure just right. Then I start checking LINE to see what work I need to handle today. Fortunately, the place I live now is very close to work, so there is absolutely no poetic morning. (Haha)

Q: Where do you usually hang out the most?

A: Near CTV, studio (Banqiao), Live house.

Q: What is your most frequently visited restaurant?

A：

1. A vegetarian restaurant located at Yansan Night Market (near Daqiaotou Station), recommended dishes include vegetarian meatballs and tofu noodle soup.

2. Tic Tac Cafe, recommended for cocoa espresso, chocolate with a shot of espresso, it's refreshing and sweet. There's also cantaloupe milk tea, which has a subtle cantaloupe flavor and rich milk aroma. It's suggested to add some sugar or request a bit of honey.

Q: What is your entertainment after work?

A: Practicing music, watching movies and series. Recently I watched a German series "Dark", it was really good!! I think the aesthetics of Europe and America are quite different, and the dramatic expression methods are also different. Moreover, Germany itself has a strong philosophical thinking, and the film has considerable depth, with plots that are worth contemplating.

Q: What is a book you recently read? What insights or thoughts did you have after finishing it?

"Love in the Time of Plague" tells a love story involving a love triangle that spans over half a century. After reading it, I felt that the female protagonist is me (laughs), and from another perspective, I realized that in chaotic times and uncontrollable environments, if you are willing to persist in doing what you want to do, that is a kind of romance. It is really good to read, and after finishing it, I wanted to read it again from the beginning. I once heard someone say that novelists set a threshold, and once you cross it, you can quickly immerse yourself in the world they create. I'm not sure if it's related to accumulating their other works, but when reading this one, it is easy to understand the story they want to tell.

Q: At 30 years old, you plan to release an EP, leaving the workplace and starting from scratch. What motivates you to persist on this path of dreams?

Turning 30 feels like a watershed moment for me, a kind of ritual!

I stayed at CTS for a long time and thought about whether I should change my work environment. Coincidentally, The Tic Tac wanted to release an album at that time, so I thought maybe I should take this opportunity to seriously pursue something. If we talk about whether we need to give up certain things to achieve our dreams, that's not necessarily the case. Regardless of whether you have a job, you can still pursue what you want to do.

There are many friends around me who are creating music while also working hard. Have they given up on their dreams? They just haven't announced to the world that they want to do this. Plus, my profession is considered a pretty good job by many, and when I leave the anchor desk, everyone magnifies it. I'm actually not that great; what’s great is "to persist for a lifetime and do one thing well." Dreams are not something unreachable; it just depends on whether you "want it or not."

What does music mean to you?

A: From the perspective of listening, it is very much like a mirror, because you cannot deceive it. The feelings of the moment are reflected in the music you choose. It's quite interesting that when chatting with friends, you can analyze their preferences and behaviors through the types of music they select. When creating, a person's personality is reflected in the arrangement and performance style; you see, "it is a mirror."

Q: What do you think is the most interesting place in Taiwan or what attracts you to it?

Taiwan is very convenient, full of warmth, and a place with high inclusiveness and freedom, which is very attractive to me. In some ways, it is quite prosperous for me, but everyone is too accustomed to it and does not feel it.

In terms of public safety, walking alone on the street at midnight is very safe, which is a very dangerous thing in other countries. There are convenience stores, fast food restaurants, beauty shops, and large supermarkets that are open 24 hours, as well as night markets gathering various street foods. Taiwan is awesome!

Q: What do you look forward to the most when staying at a hotel?

A: Rather than saying I look forward to it, for me it is about the standards of accommodation. I pay special attention to the bathroom space when looking for a place to stay. The bathroom space should basically be bright and spacious, and it would be even better if there is a separation between wet and dry areas!

Q: What is your impression of the hotels under the Taipei Inn brand?

A: I often pass by Hsi Rui, always on my way to buy a late-night snack (laughs). Every time I pass by, I take a couple more glances inside. It's bright, clean, and has a bit of a stylish design feel. The front desk staff is very attentive; they even handed me a glass of water during check-in, which made me exclaim in my heart!

I highly recommend this bathroom space, it is spacious and has great lighting. Girls will definitely love it, and the marble countertop is very beautiful. I took a few photos for social media (laughs).
